MSBC Attends Craft Brewers Conference

The art of micro-brewing is just that, and we’re always looking for new ways to improve the quality of our offerings, and the brewing process as a whole. And sometimes – as with most things – the best way to do that, is to see what your other expert peers in the field are up to.

This coming week, Mountain State Brewing Company is proud to send select team members as representatives to the annual Craft Brewers Conference & BeerExpo America.  This week long event takes place in the up-and-coming micro-brewing hub of sunny San Diego, and is considered to be the Super Bowl of craft brewing festivities, hosting over 2600 brewing industry professionals from around the world. 

There they’ll participate in a series of lectures and seminars, workshops and team events, conducted by some of the top industry leaders in the field.  Some of the scheduled seminars include: brewing safety roundtables, malt analysis, barley farming, and developments in hop science and quality. The event also sponsors and conducts a series of area brewery tours, and a World Beer Cup judging contest for select competitors.

Some of the distinguished speakers include:

Ken Grossman: Founder, owner and president of the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company.
Greg Koch: CEO and cofounder of Stone Brewing Co.
Tom Arthur: Cofounder of Port Brewing, and widely regarded as one of the leaders of the American Craft brewing renaissance.
Garrett Oliver: Brewmaster at The Brooklyn Brewery.
Jenny Briggs: HR Director at New Belgium Brewing Co.
Charlie Bumgarner: Secratary of the Montana Grain Growers Association
