From The Craft Brewers Conference

Earlier this month Mountain State Brewing Co. sent select members to the annual Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo in San Diego, CA. With Craft Beer Week now upon us, we thought we’d share some things we saw.

The BrewExpo America at the Craft Brewers Conference is the one-all-be-all premier trade show for craft brewers. There are over 250 vendors all in one location, and is the place to shop for products and services for your brewery or brewpub.

Everything is open and on full display, to touch, feel, smell and taste. Here are some Santiam hop offerings from Indie Hops, out of Portland, Oregon.

Suppliers, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers offering all things craft beer and brewing are in attendance. Here’s a display from Briess Malt & Ingredients Company – North America’s leading producer of specialty malts and ingredients for the brewing, distilling, and food industries.

Banner Equipment Company has been a U.S manufacturer of draft beer dispensing equipment, supplying the draft beer industry for almost 80 years.

From pub sign manufacturers, to glass makers, bottling and canning operations, consumer packaging, raw materials, and brewing equipment – a representative was in attendance from every stage of the microbrewery process.

Some of the seminars and roundtables we attended included: brewery safety round table, draft dispensing course, hop quality developments, and a course on sake/beer hybrids.
