MSBC 1st Annual Home Brew Competition

An old Czechoslovakian proverb reads: “A fine beer may be judged with only one sip…but it’s better to be thoroughly sure.” Taking that to heart, and in celebration of American Craft Beer Week, Mountain State Brewing Co. announces its first annual Home Brew Competition! We take our beer seriously – and we know you home brewers do too – so whip up a fresh batch of your favorite go-to brew, and join us in Deep Creek on Saturday, May 19th.

Prizes will be awarded for both judged and people’s choice events, and all participants get 20% off of any food purchases for the day!  We’ll also have a pig roast that starts at noon.

Details: The competition is open to all beer categories. Beers must be registered via identification form, by May 4th for the judged event. You don’t need to send your beer in – just bring it on the day of the event. The judged event will begin at noon, and the people’s choice will start at 2:30pm. There is a $5 dollar entry fee to be collected on the day of the event.  Get there early to get your beer registered and tagged!
