THE BREWS

FOUR FLAGSHIP BREWS & SEASONALS

COLD TRAIL BLONDE ALE

A light, easy drinking American blonde ale featuring healthy dose of oats and wheat. Light in color and body, this beer is the perfect finish to any day’s outdoor activity.

ALMOST HEAVEN AMBER ALE

Nut brown in color and lightly hopped with Willamette, this amber ale is dominated by a smooth caramel finish that is darn close to heavenly.

SENECA IPA

This moderate bodied IPA uses a blend of Galena, Cascade and Amarillo to provide the hops explosion that IPA fans seek, without the lingering bitterness.

MINER'S DAUGHTER STOUT

Coal black and creamy smooth, this oatmeal stout is brewed with chocolate malted barley, holds a light tan head and is surprisingly light in body.

OTTER CREEK LAGER

Otter Creek – named after the beautiful WV wilderness area – is a light, low-alcohol American lager designed not to slow you down for those long days on the trail.

DEVIL'S GULCH PALE ALE

Devil’s Gulch is an easy drinking, seasonal pale ale brewed with an experimental variety of West Coast hops for a citrusy flavor that is just slightly devilish.

DOLLY SUDS CRANBERRY WIT

Belgian Wit named for the Dolly Sods wilderness area in West Virginia – a high altitude plateau known for sweeping vistas, rock formations and wind-stunted pines.

RUMSEY ROCK PORTER

Honoring the 250th anniversary of Shepherdstown, WV and steam engine inventor James Rumsey. A well-hopped porter fermented with a English Pub Ale yeast.

“OL’ RED” IRISH RED ALE

Well rounded, balanced traditional Irish red ale using roasted un-malted barley & English Golding hops. Artwork by West Virginia native artist Michael Doig.

JOHN BROWN CHESTNUT ALE

This American brown ale is brewed with locally harvested West Virginia chestnuts, vanilla bean and molasses for a nut brown color and sweet malt finish.

CLOSS' HARVEST PUMPKIN ALE

Pumpkins used in this red ale were harvested in Tucker Co. – on the mountain named for Scottish immigrant Davis Closs – then slow roasted in our wood burning oven.

“HOMEGROWN” WET HOP IPA

This wet hopped IPA uses our own locally grown, freshly harvested Cascade and Willamette hops to capture flavors often driven off by conventional hop processing.
